Interview tips
Congratulations you have been selected for interview. The interview is a great chance for you to have a look at the company close up and for them to see you. Follow our top tips for successful interviews.
- Dress like you have got the job already. It demonstrates you are taking the interview seriously. Borrow a suit if required. Speak to your Prosper Consultant about the clients expectations.
- No smoking before the interview. It will go against you.
- Take a copy of your cv. It will impress any interviewer and handy for you to refer to. We can make sure you have another one. We will email one to you when we confirm your interview.
- Arrive on time - ideally 10 mins early. Take into account the time of day and traffic. And we send you maps and will check public transport for you.
- Firm positive handshake and some eye contact will make you look professional and confident.
- Have some questions ready for the interviewer. We will discuss this with you.
- Relax... Interviews are a two way process. You are there to introduce yourself to the company and they are introducing themselves to you.
- Close the interview with some questions and ask for the timeframe the recruitment process is based on.
- Say goodbye, thanking the interviewer for their time and that you are looking forward to hearing from them.
- Call your Prosper Consultant with your feedback.
